Georgia Gilroy

Georgia leads Wasafiri’s work on project design, research and evidence-based delivery in the areas of extremism, stabilisation, and peace-building in East Africa.

Georgia has over ten years of experience working on governance, stabilisation, and early recovery programmes in the diverse contexts of Liberia, Haiti, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Somalia and Kenya. She has a keen interest in helping organisations and change leaders to understand the political and conflict dynamics in complex environments, and to develop context-driven approaches to addressing these dynamics in programming. Georgia is also an experienced project manager and evaluation and learning specialist, and speaks fluent French. She has an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Outside of Wasafiri, Georgia spends her time chasing after two small children!
