The African Food Fellowship is now live in Kenya!
BY EUNICE KHAGULI
An inspiring initiative… for an inspiring group of people
The Fellowship brings together 30 passionate food systems leaders who make up the inaugural cohort of the African Food Systems Leadership Programme.
This 10-month Fellowship is the first of its kind in Africa and focuses initially on three impact areas of aquaculture, horticulture and agri-finance. It targets emerging leaders from the private, public, and civic sectors who will shape the ambitions, agendas and market dynamics that are needed to transform Africa’s food systems, and ensure availability and access to healthy and sustainable food for all.
Leadership for shifting Africa’s Food System
The programme is unique. It seeks to strengthen African leadership and build on solutions solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing African food systems today, by focusing on leadership development, incubation, networking and collaboration.
The first cohort of many to come…
We’re thrilled to have 30 inspiring and talented Fellows embark on a systems leadership journey to transforming food systems in Kenya. They are the first cohort of many to come in Kenya and in other countries as the Fellowship supports food systems leadership across the continent in future.
The Fellowship is an initiative of Wageningen University & Research and Wasafiri, with support from the IKEA Foundation.
The launch of the fantastic African Food Fellowship Systems Leadership is covered in Kenya’s Standard Newspaper. We’re thrilled to have helped incubate this groundbreaking initiative! Click here to read the full article!
