Claudia is Wasafiri’s Food Systems Lead and curates the team and delivery of the African Food Fellowship. She works alongside leaders, smallholder farmers, international agencies, companies, and communities to transform food systems in sustainable and inclusive ways.

Claudia believes that transforming food systems is key to addressing the defining challenges of our time—hunger, environmental degradation, climate change, poverty, and marginalisation. Over the past 20 years, she has worked with social enterprises, NGOs, bilateral donors, and multilateral organisations to help unlock solutions that work across systems.

With a multidisciplinary background in international relations, management, rural sociology, and natural resource governance, Claudia is skilled at making collaboration work across diverse groups. She brings a strong practice in network curation and facilitation—creating spaces for connection, learning, and collective action among actors who may not usually work together.

Her superpower? Being a mom of two and still managing to get stuff done.
