CONSULTANT & RWANDA COUNTRY LEAD FOR THE AFRICAN FOOD FELLOWSHIP

Anysie Ishimwe is a Rwanda-based strategist with cross-sector experience in entrepreneurship, energy, and food systems. As the Country Lead for the African Food Fellowship, she supports fellows through a food systems leadership program and coordinates a national network of Rwandan food systems actors working collaboratively on climate-smart agriculture, improved nutrition, and inclusive trade. Her work combines systems thinking, leadership development, and a strong commitment to African-led transformation.

Anysie supports Africa’s Business Heroes, the flagship philanthropic program of the Jack Ma Foundation, where she leads learning and community engagement to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the continent. Her past roles include serving as Country Manager for Energy First Rwanda, a clean energy company expanding access to power in underserved communities, and as a Senior Business Analyst at Karisimbi Business Partners, advising private sector firms on strategy and social impact.

Anysie serves on the boards of Sager Ganza Microfinance and Junior Achievement Rwanda, championing financial access and entrepreneurship for women and youth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Psychology from Hope College (Cum Laude) and pursued further studies in Global Health and Economic Development in Switzerland.
