Clare Gardner


Clare is a senior consultant with over 18 years’ experience managing and consulting on development and humanitarian programmes throughout Africa and Asia.

She has led multiple evaluations and reviews of food security, resilience, humanitarian and social protection programmes for bilateral donors and NGOs. She has worked at levels from community-based participatory research, to engagement with national governments and pan-African alliances.

Clare has effectively managed complex evaluations and lesson learning exercises involving different evaluation methodologies to gather data at different levels. She has developed tools, carried out sampling, trained enumerators, supervised data collection, led FGDs, workshops and learning events. She has worked in countries including: Cambodia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
