Robinson Karuga
SENIOR HEALTH CONSULTANT
Robinson Karuga is an Implementation Science Researcher and Health Systems and Policy practitioner with 17 years of experience. His career interest is to scale up interventions that enhance the health and well-being of vulnerable and marginalised communities.
As a consultant, Karuga has worked with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to provide technical assistance to Marsabit and Isiolo Counties to prioritise, cost, and implement lifesaving primary healthcare interventions to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidities and mortalities. Since 2014, Karuga has been actively researching how to embed quality improvement approaches in Community Health Services. Karuga. He also has an interest in researching approaches for integrating the management of neglected tropical diseases in routine health services.
Karuga holds a Ph.D. in Transdisciplinary Research from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam a Master of Public Health from Debrecen University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Egerton University. He is also an alumnus of the Emerging Voices in Global Health.
