Scott Hinkle

Scott has over 15 years of experience driving collective and adaptive approaches for a more human-centred and prosperous world. As a Systems Change Specialist, he helps private, public and non-profit sector clients build their capacity to influence the dynamic environments that sustain complex problems and produce better outcomes for their projects and organisations. He guides clients’ agile organisational practices, so they can learn and adapt with the changing system and put relationships and prosperity first.

He joined Wasafiri is 2016, spending three years as the Team Lead for our flagship preventing violent extremism program in East Africa and three years as Wasafiri’s Head of Operations. His career foundations are in mediation, conflict analysis and transformation, leading research teams and strategic advising to drive social and organisational change in complex environments; working in the US, Afghanistan, South Sudan, East Africa and the UK. He has an MA in Conflict, Security and Development from the University of Sussex.

Outside Wasafiri, Scott has dabbled in some form of martial arts for 20 years, mentors young men involved with the prison system through Band of Brothers, and spends way to much time watching fantasy/sci-fi TV.
