Kate is Wasafiri’s Chair and former Managing Director. She leads our systems practice and provides strategic and governance oversight across the organisation.

As a consultant, Kate partners with leaders and organisations to scale impact by embedding systems change approaches into programme design and organisational strategy. Her work spans philanthropic, corporate and government sectors, with key assignments for the World Economic Forum, FCDO, Jobtech Alliance, the African Food Fellowship, the Forward Institute, and more.

Kate is the lead author of Systemcraft: an applied approach to tackling complex problems. She’s also a facilitator and keynote speaker, regularly writing and teaching on systems leadership, social impact, sustainability, and transformational change.

Known for helping clients explore bold, imaginative ways of working and thinking differently, Kate brings warmth, rigour and creativity to her practice. She holds a PhD in Social Geography from Newcastle University and is an accredited Executive Coach. When she’s not working, Kate is often found out on the hills climbing, running and trying to keep up with her kids.
