Alex has spent over 25 years helping mission-driven organisations and leaders tackle complex, systemic challenges locally and globally. His work has strengthened governance, strategy, innovation, and learning to drive lasting impact.

He joined Wasafiri in 2017 and became Managing Director in 2022, drawn by a deep passion for making meaningful change happen. He thrives on helping change-makers flourish—exemplified by co-founding the African Food Fellowship, an ambitious initiative to empower food systems leaders across Africa.

Alex is energised by working with others committed to transformation, something he’s found consistently among Wasafiri’s team, clients, and partners. His previous roles at organisations like Save the Children and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition have also shaped his approach.

His core strength lies in listening deeply, identifying strategic priorities, and catalysing collaboration—while helping teams and leaders take effective action now.

In a fast-changing world, Alex remains curious and committed to finding better ways to reduce conflict and poverty, combat climate change, and improve food systems and biodiversity.

He’s a proud Brighton & Hove Albion supporter, a dedicated family man, and enjoys gardening, swimming, tennis, and golf in his spare time.
