Fiona Napier has worked in Nairobi since 2012. She is currently adviser on a UK-funded programme (BRICS), supporting communities and civil society organisations to provide alternatives for young people at risk of joining violent extremist organisations in Kenya. Fiona is a trustee of Africa’s Voices Foundation, and an associate of Leaders Quest.

Previous experience includes senior management roles with Open Society Foundations, Global Witness and Save the Children, including 6 years based in South Africa, and stints in Asia. Fiona was a founder board member of the Ethical Trade Initiative, and co-founded the Publish What You Pay campaign, which led to the establishment of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
