The African Food Fellowship has welcomed its first cohort of 34 food systems leaders in Zambia, marking a super exciting new chapter in the Fellowship’s growth across Africa.
The Food Systems Leadership Programme, delivered by Wageningen University & Research and Wasafiri, combines systems thinking, leadership development and practical problem-solving to help African leaders work together to transform food systems.
The new cohort brings together professionals working across Zambia’s food system, from food production and distribution to advocacy. Together, they will focus on improving access to healthy and nutritious food, building inclusive markets and trade, and strengthening food systems resilience.
Zambia’s first cohort marks an important step towards the African Food Fellowship’s ambition to build a pan-African network of leaders working towards healthier, more inclusive and sustainable food systems.
As Wasafiri, we’re proud to be part of this growing movement, working alongside the Fellowship and its partners to equip African leaders to make lasting change happen.
